SmartLearn is designed to support and supplement this primary content with a wide array of multimedia capabilities, including 2D/3D animation, virtual presentations, video, an interactive notebook, tests, assignments, and many other features. The communication required for a collaborative educational environment is achieved through the use of real-time messaging between instructors and students. If a participant cannot attend a live lecture, he or she can review the lecture and all comments posted during that particular session at a later date.
